The Body Keeps the Score
You cannot outthink a nervous system.
I lived in my head for a long time and treated my body as the vehicle that carried it around. When something went wrong, I tried to think my way out. It did not work, because the problem was not in my thinking.
The body has its own memory, its own vocabulary. It stores what the mind will not name. It will tell you, in tight shoulders and short breath and unexplained fatigue, what your calendar refuses to admit.
Move it every day, not for the shape of it, but for the conversation. Sleep like your life depends on it, because it quietly does. When you are stuck, walk. The answer often shows up somewhere in the second mile.
Written slowly. Read as slowly as you like.
